How to convert TXT to SRT
- Paste UTF-8 text or select a TXT file. Choose one cue per line or paragraph.
- Set the starting time, cue duration and gap. Generated timings are estimates, not audio alignment.
- Review the editable cues, adjust timings against your video and download SRT.
Does TXT contain subtitle timing?
Ordinary TXT does not contain timing. This tool assigns the duration you choose to each line or paragraph. It does not listen to a recording or infer when words were spoken.
Can I edit individual captions?
Yes. After creating the draft, edit start times, end times and text. Blank captions and invalid time ranges must be corrected before export.
