Service and eligibility
DoneCove is operated by an individual. The service processes subtitle files users are authorized to handle. Users must have the rights needed to upload, translate, and store those files.
Trial and purchases
Each account receives one free trial of up to 30 cues and 1,200 source characters. Credits are one-time purchases with no automatic renewal and no fixed expiry date. Project files are kept for up to seven days; this does not affect remaining account credits.
Usage packages and payments
Character credits can only be used by the purchasing account for subtitle translation within DoneCove. They cannot be transferred, gifted, resold, or exchanged for cash and are not a general stored-value balance. Paddle acts as the authorized reseller and handles payments and applicable transaction taxes. The checkout shows the final currency, price, and taxes before payment.
Character counting and settlement
Billing counts source subtitle text after excluding whitespace and i, b, and u style tags. Successfully delivered subtitle lines are settled by source characters. Undelivered lines are not charged and their reserved credits are released. Retranslating processed subtitles consumes credits again.
Quality and use limits
Machine translation can contain errors. Users must review results before use or publication. The service is not suitable as the sole basis for high-risk medical, legal, safety, or similar decisions.
File retention
Project files are kept for up to seven days, and users may delete a project. This does not promise immediate deletion from every backup, log, or third-party system.
Status
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
